Military Spouse Benefits

American Grooming Academy is a large supporter of our Military community! Our campus, being just minutes away from the military base at Camp Pendleton, in beautiful San Diego, California makes choosing American Grooming Academy easy.  If you are the spouse of active duty service members in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, and O1-O2, as well as the spouses of activated Guard and Reserve members within those ranks, you qualify for the tuition assistance program!

What does this mean?
It means the “Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts” (MyCAA) of the Department of Defense is an educational financing program for spouses of active duty service members and activated guard and reserve members.

MyCAA offers up to $4,000 to eligible military spouses to pursue certifications or licenses for portable careers! This means you can get an exciting, well-outlined education in the field of Pet Styling that will travel all over the globe!

American Grooming Academy is BPPE Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education licensed by the state of California, so our programs are covered according to the MYCAA regulations!

State Licensure and Approval
American Grooming Academy is a private vocational school approved by the Bureau for Private Post-secondary Education under the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 and Title 5. California Code of Regulations Division 7.5. Private Postsecondary Education. The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education approval means that this institution and its operation comply with the standards established under the law for occupational instruction by private post-secondary educational institutions. Institutional approval is subject to continual review and the institution must reapply for approval every three years.
