AGA Has Great Flexible Schedules!
Here at AGA, we want everyone, from the college student to the mom to the person who has to work full time but desires to work in the pet industry as a professional Pet Stylist, to be able to attend the Academy. AGA offers training to both the full time student and the part time student. Our classes are held , Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm. AGA is different, in we don’t start large groups, we start individuals. At AGA there is open enrollment policy, which means, if there is a opening, you can start! At AGA we keep our class size smaller to ensure there is quality instruction for each student. From 8am -9am we have what we call university hour. This is our “quiet time” when students can come in early and catch up on things they couldn’t do at home. Reading, homework, computer work, ect. The shop is open but lecture does not start until 9 am, giving the students who have to drop off kids or need a quiet work space, a place all their own. Our lectures and seminars are on a rotating basis, for example if we have Anatomy lecture on Thursday this month, we will do it on a Monday or Wednesday the following month, that way any day a student picks for a scheduled day we can have the lecture they need to graduate! Students can choose not only their days, but also how many days they wish to come to school, making it ideal for those who already have a work schedule!
AGA Students Are For Life!
The best thing about graduating from AGA is that you get what we call “continuing education.” What this means is that when you are an alumni you can come back to American Grooming Academy to attend the continual educational seminars workshops for FREE . That is right, twice a year we hold continual education seminars and workshops and these are FREE to our students and alumni. AGA also has a “Welcome Back” policy. What this means to our graduates, is if at anytime, they feel the need to brush up on their skills, they are “Welcome Back” for additional training for FREE. . For example let’s say you start a mobile grooming business and you find that the area you are in does a lot of airedales, and you want additional training on grooming Airedales. You are “Welcome Back” !. We have students come back after two years just to learn something new! If we have the space available any graduate can come back! We also have seminars and guest speakers monthly at AGA. These seminars are great for our current students as well as our alumni, thats why they are always free to our graduates! Not only does AGA feel strongly about providing students with a thorough training program, but also supporting them in their future by providing Continuing education. State Licensure and Approval
American Grooming Academy is a private vocational school approved by the Bureau for Private Post-secondary Education under the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 and Title 5. California Code of Regulations Division 7.5. Private Postsecondary Education. The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education approval means that this institution and its operation comply with the standards established under the law for occupational instruction by private post-secondary educational institutions.
